Ray Valdez Band

In the late 80s, I was involved with a 60s cover band which was mentioned in the Albuquerque Journal on April 3, 1987. Here is an excerpt from the article:  "The two most impressive musicians of the bunch are bassist Don Hill, who played a melodic lead line at the end of Strawberry Alarm Clock's 'Incense and Peppermints,' and lead guitarist Ray Valdez who faithfully mimicked the tiered lead guitar picking style of the Byrds and the electric guitar picking style of Jeff Beck when he lead the Yardbirds."
